ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Notre Dame Fighting Irish sent a small group to west Michigan as they competed in the 2024 Grand Valley State Early Meet.
Molly Grant won the women’s 1500m run as she recorded a 4:30.40 to finish just ahead of Paige Grant, who ran a 4:31.54. Raegan Riley finished third with a time of 4:35.04 and Elizabeth Schmidt finished sixth, running a 4:42.22.
Claire Sievern led the way for the Irish in the women’s 800m run as she recorded a new PR with a time of 2:05.61, placing first in the event. Finishing third, fourth, and fifth respectively, Kate McAndrew (2:12.11), Kaleigh Gunsiorowski (2:12.60), and Aimee Hayde (2:14.83) also competed in the 800m.
Gretchen Farley competed in her first career steeplechase and took home first in the event, recording a time of 10:37.55
Julian Kingery finished fourth in the men’s 800m run with a time of 1:54.98.
