#8 Carson Tinney Baseball Roster

FRESHMAN SEASON (2024)

• Started game two of the series behind the dish (February 17) and tallied the first homerun of his collegiate career as a pinch-hitter in Sunday’s 13-10 victory over Rice. (February 18) Tinney’s homer broke an 8-8 tie in the top of the 9th inning, giving the Irish a lead they wouldn’t surrender. 

PREP AND PERSONAL

• First team all-conference, and all-state honorable mention in high school
• As a junior, posted a .440 avg and 1.343 OPS. As a senior, marked a .400 avg and 1.591 OPS
• Four Year All Catholic Selection, 2019 First Team selection
• Volunteered with the Special Olympics
• Played summer ball for Slammers Colorado
• 2022 Perfect Game national showcase attendee – won fastest pop (1.80 seconds) and hardest catcher positional throw (87 MPH)
• 2021 Perfect Game Underclass All-American Games attendee
• Ranked 183 nationally by Perfect Game
• 2022 Area Code Games attendee
• Finance major in the Mendoza College of Business

• Sister Rylee plays lacrosse at the University of Michigan
