Claire Kramer 2023-24 Staff

Claire Kramer is in her third year with Notre Dame Athletics overall, and first since returning to the department in 2023. She currently serves as Director of Football Communications.

Preceding this role, Kramer worked as Senior Associate Athletics Communications Director with the Notre Dame Football and Baseball programs. In this position, she assisted with day-to-day media operations for the football program, and oversaw all media, content, social media, statistics and strategic messaging for the baseball program.

Before returning to Notre Dame in August of 2023, Kramer was the Public Relations Manager at global design firm Populous. She oversaw public relations strategy and execution for Americas region of the firm with projects including some of the world’s most innovative and iconic venues and experiences. As part of her role, she developed communications strategy and materials for high-profile campaigns, including the opening of Climate Pledge Arena, Populous’ continued involvement with the NFL Super Bowl and the firm’s work on the new Buffalo Bills Stadium.

Kramer returned to Notre Dame for the first time from 2019-21, departing as Associate Athletics Communications Director. Kramer was the primary public relations contact for Notre Dame Softball and Swim & Dive and secondary contact for Notre Dame Football.

Kramer started her career with the Baltimore Ravens as a full-time public relations intern, working daily with players, coaches, leadership and other team personnel to assist with media interaction, provide statistics and media information, and produce written content.

Kramer graduated from the University of Notre Dame, earning her bachelor’s degree in American Studies with honors, adding minors in Journalism, Ethics and Democracy (JED) and theology. She and her fiancé, John, will be married in June of 2024.
