Scott Carter Staff
Assistant Athletics Director, Event & Game Management
Scott Carter joined Notre Dame in September 2023 as the Assistant Athletic Director of Events & Game Management. Carter oversees the day to day operations of the Event Management staff and serves as Game Manager for Football & Men’s Basketball. Carter also leads Athletics’ planning and logistics regarding ACC and NCAA Championships.
Prior to Notre Dame, Carter held numerous Event Management leadership positions elsewhere (James Madison University: 2012-16; Auburn University: 2016-22; University of Maryland: 2022-23). Carter is a member of CEFMA and a former Chairperson and Steering Committee member of the Collegiate Athletics Operations Services (CAOS) Conference.
Originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia, Carter holds degrees from West Virginia University (B.S., 2009) and The University of Texas (M.Ed., 2011). Carter lives in the South Bend area with his wife, Liz.
