Matt Weldy Staff

Matt Weldy was named Monogram Club Executive Director in the fall of 2018. Weldy joined the Monogram Club staff as associate director in 2015. He was bestowed an honorary Monogram in October 2021 for his tireless work with the Monogram Club staff and its mission to deliver on the 4-for-40 promise made to Notre Dame student-athletes. In addition to his duties with the Monogram Club, Weldy serves as sport administrator for the Notre Dame fencing program.

Prior to joining the Monogram Club staff, Weldy served as Notre Dame’s Director of Camps and Community Initiatives. In that role, he was the administrator for day-to-day operations of the camp office, while providing administrative support to 18 different Notre Dame varsity coaching staffs. Weldy managed the registration, camp flow and departure process for all varsity sports camps, totaling 60 sessions and 10,000 participants annually. He also engaged in the management of community outreach initiatives on behalf of the athletics department.

Weldy began working at Notre Dame in February of 2011 as an intern in the Sports Camps office before being promoted to the role of sports camp coordinator in January of 2013.

Weldy graduated from Indiana University in April of 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Marketing and Management. He and his wife, Laura, have three children: Maeve, Porter and Maren. The family resides in South Bend.
