Senior Associate Athletics Director – Legislation & Academics
Heidi Uebelhor is a Senior Associate Athletics Director at the University of Notre Dame overseeing NCAA Compliance and department risk management. Uebelhor’s primary responsibilities include working with the NCAA and the Conference Office on national legislative and governance matters, elevating Notre Dame’s mission in support of student-athlete wellbeing and the overall success of Programs while mitigating potential risks.
Uebelhor represents the department in various roles, including with the ACC Compliance Directors and as a member of the Athletics Executive Team. Uebelhor is responsible for the investigation of potential Level I and Level II NCAA violations. Uebelhor’s staff is responsible for the submission of Conference and NCAA waivers and Level III violations, administering the National Letter of Intent, athletics scholarships and financial aid, and the annual NCAA Student-Assistance Fund. The Compliance Office assists in maintaining Policy related to transfers, summer grant-in-aid, Name, Image and Likeness, and Alston academic awards and certifies student-athlete eligibility for financial aid, practice, and competition. Additionally, the Compliance Office assists in the submission of the annual NCAA Sport Sponsorship and Academic Progress Rate Reports.
Uebelhor has Women’s Basketball sport administration oversight, representing the James E. Rohr Director of Athletics in every aspect of the Program. In this role Uebelhor additionally serves on the ACC Women’s Basketball Committee.
Prior to her role in NCAA Compliance, Uebelhor held positions within the Athletics Business and Ticket Offices with sport administrator oversight for the Women’s and Men’s Tennis Programs.
Uebelhor graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design in 1999. She earned a master’s degree in Education from Indiana University in 2010. Uebelhor is a South Bend native and has three daughters, Grace, Leah, and Peyton.
