Scheduling a Visit
There are several ways to schedule a session with the Sport Psychology staff.
For non-crisis related sessions, you may use any of the following methods to schedule:
- Reach out to your team’s sport psychologist or send an email to SportPsych@nd.edu. As a reminder, email is not a confidential form of communication and emails are not meant to convey urgent information, as we cannot guarantee prompt responses to e-mail messages. If you are in crisis, please utilize the below resources.
- Contact your athletic trainer or team physician to schedule a visit with a sport psychologist.
- Call the UCC ((574) 631-7336) or attend a drop in appointment at the UCC (3rd Floor of St. Liam Hall) and ask to set-up an appointment with a sport psychologist.
Confidentiality
As mental health care providers, the UCC is ethically and legally required to uphold standards of confidentiality. Confidentiality of our services means that the UCC will not voluntarily release any information about a student’s involvement in counseling without a signed release of information form. There are several exceptions to confidentiality that students need to be aware of. The UCC is required to release information without a student’s authorization if they are judged to be a serious danger to themselves or someone else, if there is concern of known or suspected child or elder abuse, or if mandated by a court order. Students may request, by signing a release of information form, that the UCC release information to specified individuals, agencies, or departments.
