CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Sebastian Dominko and Jean-Marc Malkowski have been named First Team All-ACC Doubles after their performance on the court this year. In addition, Dominko has also been named First Team All-ACC Singles.
The sophomore from Slovenia and the senior from Switzerland played every match together at the #1 position in the lineup and compiled a 13-7 overall record. The duo posted nine ranked wins included a win over a top-20 ranked Boston College pair and the fourth ranked team in the country from Kentucky. Other ACC wins include Miami, Florida State, Clemson, North Carolina, Virginia Tech.
In singles, Dominko went 14-6 in finished matches and played a total of 19 ranked singles opponents throughout the year. He won eight singles matches against ranked players and had five unfinished. In conference play, he went 6-4 with three unfinished including wins against Miami, Virginia Tech, Boston College, Clemson twice and Louisville where he provided the clinching point for the team in a 4-1 win over the Cardinals. Last year, Dominko was named All-ACC Second Team Singles in his freshman campaign.
Dominko will participate in the NCAA Individual Singles Championships while he and Malkowski will participate in the NCAA Individual Doubles Championships. The individual tournament will take place at Oklahoma State in Stillwater at the end of May.
