AS A GRADUATE AT NOTRE DAME (2023-24)

• Made two C finals at the 2024 ACC Championships — 100 fly (finished 22nd with a best time of 46.45) and 100 back (finished 21st with a time of 47.16). Also swam the 100 free (44.76)
• Brought home third in the 100 free (44.30), fourth in the 100 back (48.43), sixth in the 50 free (20.38) and 10th in the 100 fly (48.33) at the Tim Welsh Classic. Also took third in the 200 medley relay, fourth in the 200 free and 400 free relays and fifth in the 400 medley relay.
• Competed in four relays plus the 100 back (48.45) and 100 fly (48.52, placed eighth) against Princeton and Navy
• Made three finals at the Ohio State Fall Invitational
  • 100 free: 43.99, finished 31st
  • 100 back: 47.95, finished 32nd
  • 100 fly: 47.73, finished 23rd
• Swam the 50 free (finished sixth — 20.71), 100 fly (fifth — 48.62) and 200 medley relay (third) at Louisville
• Placed fourth in the 100 fly (47.68), eighth in the 50 free (20.59) and ninth in the 100 back (48.06) against Pitt and Penn State. Was also on the B relays for both the 200 free and medley, both of which took third place
• Took fifth in the 50 free (20.85), third in the 100 fly (48.59) and fourth in the 400 free relay in his Irish debut against Purdue

AS A SENIOR AT JOHN CARROLL (2022-23)

• OAC Swimmer of the Year
• OAC champion in 50 free, 100 free, 100 back and three relays
• Three-time OAC Swimmer of the Week (11/21, 1/16 and 1/30)

AS A JUNIOR AT JOHN CARROLL (2021-22)

• Seven-time OAC champion (100 free, 100 fly, five relays)
• Two-time OAC Swimmer of the Week (11/8 and 11/22)

AS A SOPHOMORE AT JOHN CARROLL (2020-21)

• OAC Swimmer of the Year
• Won the 50 free, 100 fly and 100 back at OAC Championships and added four relay gold medals as well

AS A FRESHMAN AT JOHN CARROLL (2019-20)

• Won the 200 back at OAC Championships
• Notched 14 wins (individual and relay) during dual meets

• Pursuing a mater of science in business analytics
• Son of Jill and Jonathan McDonnell. Has one brother, Kieran
