AS A SOPHOMORE (2023-24)

• Notched best times in the 100 and 200 fly at ACC Championships (45.41/1:41.76). Finished ninth in the 100 and fourth in the 200. Both times are NCAA B cuts
• At the Tim Welsh Classic, placed second in 200 fly (1:44.62) and 100 breast (47.14), third in the 100 fly (46.60) and fifth in the 50 free (20.31). Helped secure first place in the 200 free relay, second in the 400 medley relay, third in the 400 free relay and fourth in the 200 medley relay
• Placed third in the 200 fly (1:46.37) and also swam the 100 fly (47.04) against Princeton and Navy. Was a part of four relays, including the winning 200 free relay
• Put up multiple impressive performances at the Ohio State Fall Invitational
  • Notched two U.S. Open cuts in the 100M fly (54.80) and 100M back (56.58)
    • The backstroke time was a personal best
  • Finished sixth in the 100 fly final (46.53)
  • Finished 11th in the 200 fly final (1:44.57)
  • Finished 14th in the 100 back final (47.19)
• Finished second in three events against Louisville: 100 fly (47.72), 200 fly (1:47.23) and 400 free relay
• Swam seven events against Pitt and Penn State — 200 medley relay (third), 200 fly (second, 1:45.97), 400 free relay (third), 400 medley relay (third), 200 back (11th, 1:50.08), 100 fly (third, 47.44) and 200 free relay (third)
• Took second in the 100 fly (48.47) and won the 200 fly (1:47.43) against Purdue. Was also on the 200 medley and 400 free relays, both of which placed third
• Finished second in the 100 fly (47.95) and third in the 200 fly (1:48.36) at Wisconsin. Also swam the final leg of the 200 medley relay that took second and second leg of the 400 free relay that took third.
• Competed in the 200 fly at the 2023 Phillips 66 National Championships (2:08.32)

AS A FRESHMAN (2022-23)

• Finished 18th in the 100 fly (46.44) and 10th in the 200 fly (1:43.72) at his first ACCs
• Earned two silver medals against Pitt/Penn State in the butterfly events (48.15/1:48.21)
• Took third in the 100 (47.90) and 200 fly (1:49.11) vs Louisville
• B finalist in the 100 fly (48.08), 200 fly (1:46.89) and 100 back (48.53) at the Ohio State Invitational
• Participated in the 2022 Toyota U.S. Open. Swam the 50M free (23.52), 100M fly (55.59), 100M back (57.83) and made the B final in the 200M fly (2:09.25)

PREP AND PERSONAL

• Swam for the TAC Titans
• Son of Rob and Kari Bacon; has three siblings, Ellie, Ty and Chance
• Enrolled in the Mendoza College of Business, majoring in finance
